The word Symposia means ‘a conference or meeting to discuss a particular subject’. Symposia Consult is an experienced, professional conference and event management company that offers Interpretation and Translation services, rental of Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (SIS), Conference Logistics and Event Management services. Drawing on a long experience of over 30 years, Symposia Consult has established its reputation as a leading Professional Conference Organizer, currently operating in 5 offices located in Abidjan, Accra, Cotonou, Kampala and Kigali.
Symposia Consult was born out of a vision of two African entrepreneurs – Mr. Victor Imboua-Niava and Mr. Aimable Rudakemwa Rumongi – both seasoned conference interpreters. The founders identified a gap in service provision for Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (SIS) equipment rental and professional interpretation and translation services for multilingual conferences and meetings. The company was created in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire in 1985 and subsequently opened offices in 5 other African countries. Symposia Consult began by providing SIS equipment for rent to international organizations.
